Ex-PA to Katt Williams sues him for alleged assault

Katt Williams

The former personal assistant to Katt Williams is suing the comedian for an alleged violent attack that left her with severe injuries.

Angelina Triplett-Hill claims Katt Williams assaulted her on a film set, leaving her unconscious and with severe injuries that required her to be in hospital for several days. She is now suing the star for US$1million (about £760,000) in a federal lawsuit, accusing him of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

The alleged assault took place in September 2014, when Triplett-Hill was assisting Williams on the set of a film in California. She says she received a call and stepped away, and when she returned Williams ordered her to get in a car, at which point he ‘snatched’ her phone from her hand and threw it. After defending herself from his verbal abuse, she claims he struck her in the face and slammed her head against the concrete when she fell to the ground.

Another member of Williams’ team called paramedics and Triplett-Hill was taken to hospital, where she stayed for three days. She quit her job upon release and refused to speak to Williams.

She has now filed a federal lawsuit, while Williams has been charged with misdemeanour battery against another woman in a separate assault case. The comedian has been arrested several times since 2006, with charges ranging from theft to carrying a concealed weapon, including a lawsuit from another former assistant he allegedly hit with a closed fist.
