Lunchtime workouts to improve fitness with minimal sweat

A team up between Notting Hill chicken restaurant Cocotte and fitness studio BARREtoned is looking to get people healthy at lunchtime.

Aiming to prepare people for the summer months by getting workers fit and healthy, the teams behind it are combining the controlled muscle workouts of ballet barre classes with nutritious meals. Calling the class the ‘ultimate health and fitness package’ for the summer, the routines are designed to fit within your lunch break and work on your health with minimal sweat.

Working your body on mats and with the barre, the programme uses small controlled movements to work each muscle group, improving positivity, posture and overall health to give your body more definition. Following the class, guests are invited to Cocotte for a large salad with ingredients such as pumpkin, peppers and pomegranate to eat-in or takeaway.

The meals can also include rotisserie chicken, with the French restaurant priding itself on farm-to-table food, from chicken and homemade sauces to salads, designing the menu following the chefs’ previous experiences at Michelin-star restaurants Villa Lauraine and Chalet de la Foret.

Also offering homemade ice tea to maintain hydration through lunch, the package will cost £30.50 for the workout and meal and takes place from 11.15am to 12.15pm from Monday to Friday.
