Over half of workers unhappy with coffee facilities

APSCo announces recruitment awards

Nearly two thirds of workers aren’t happy with their workplace coffee, according to new research. In a report by One Poll, nearly half of employees admitted their hot drink facilities were outdated, unattractive and in need of a revamp as disappointing drink options ranked amongst workers’ biggest frustrations.

Other office irritations included long meetings and email malfunctions, with 60% feeling dissatisfied with the hot drink options available. The study revealed that a good cup of coffee can make all the difference to office workers, with 71% saying fresh milk, convenient location and high quality can improve their working day.

Working on behalf of Nestlé Professional, the report recommends employers give their workers higher quality, branded options as 57% admit drinking frothy drinks feel like more of a treat, even when coming out of a sachet. With 55% of workers starting the working day with a cup of coffee, Nestlé believes this presents an opportunity to bosses to get the most out of their staff by simulating the café style in the office.

“The importance of great tasting coffee should not be underestimated,” said Lynn Little, standard ingredients lead at Nestlé Professional, “This is where the new Nescafé Gold Café Style Latte and Cappuccino Unsweetened Taste from Nestlé Professional comes in.

“The new coffee also features a luxurious café style froth, meaning office workers can create an attractive café style coffee without having to step outside of the office.”
