Visitor surge across Mash Media shows

The Meetings Show 2016

Publisher and event organiser Mash Media has reported a major increase in attendance across its exhibition portfolio. The report comes following the recent International Confex, Event Production and office* shows, co-located at London Olympia earlier in March, which held one of the biggest global gatherings of event professionals in the UK.

The report indicates a year-on-year spike on all the shows, with 177% attendance at the office* show, 69% at Event Production Show and a 35% increase at the International Confex. Having only just acquired the office* show, the visitor numbers have almost trebled since the previous year. Launching on the last day of the other events on offer, the Festival and Outdoor Event Show was also well received in its debut as the fourth exhibition in the company’s portfolio.

Aiming to bring the industry together by co-locating their premier shows under the same roof, Mash Media was delighted by the buzz as turnout surpassed its initial expectations. While pleased with the footfall figures, the event organisers admitted they cannot take full credit for the high number of interest this year.

“The content across the shows was outstanding and no doubt contributed to the quality and volume of the visitors we saw,” said Duncan Siegle, Event Director, Event Production Show. “As a business, Mash Media is really committed to contributing to the outdoor event sector and the launch of the Festival & Outdoor Event Show only underlines our desire to keep creating business and educational opportunities for the industry.”
