    The Cooking Academy is a business that is all about personal wellness through improving our eating habits.  We are a business made up of Food Scientists, Nutritionists and experts Chef’s that put the nutritional value of ingredients at the heart of everything we teach – with the caveat that it must taste great!

    Nutritional eating and well-being is vital our peak performance, whether it is physical, mental or emotional. The link between health and success is increasingly recognised as a key factor in workplace productivity.  Organisations that invest in employee wellbeing see a greater return in profitability, brand value and customers engagement.  Therefore, investing in employee wellbeing is a key business objective for success.

    Eating healthily, and getting the nutrition you need, when working can be a daily challenge when it seems easier to reach for a piece of toast and a strong coffee.  But the long term effective it can have on our performance is very significant.

    In our busy lives it may seem impossible to be able to produce healthy food, especially for breakfast or the packed lunch you take to work.  It is easier than you think.   Good nutrition is about knowing your ingredients and how to combine them to get the best effect.  With a bit of preparation, you can be eating healthy, delicious food at work.  We explain which foods to avoid and which are best and reasons for using certain ingredients and spice in food to enhance the nutritional value at the same time as optimising calorie intake.

    We do this through a range of workshops, Cookery demonstrations, cook with us, and presentations. Kumud Gandhi is our lead Food Scientist, publish author and founder of The Cooking Academy.  As a keynote speaker Kumud has over 15 years of experience teaching the benefits of wellness, nutrition and healthy eating at leading academic institutions including Wolfson College Oxford, St Catherine College & Kings College Cambridge.  Denman College, RHS, The Physic Garden, The Institute of Directors and to a wide number of corporate clients.

    Her corporate background coupled with her in depth knowledge of food science has equipped her with an innate understanding of the nutritional issues that erode professional and business performance. Using cutting-edge science and high-impact presentations Kumud provides the knowledge and tools required to bring a tangible boost to personal and professional performance.
