Latest Corporate Event Buyers Survey reveals positive outlook for 2026

The London Summer Event Show and Venue Search London have joined forces to conduct a recent Corporate Event Buyers Survey, gaining valuable insights into booking trends, budget considerations and event planning priorities for 2026.

Insights from 162 corporate event buyers, surveyed during November and December 2025, point to a resilient and cautiously optimistic outlook for the UK events industry in the year ahead.

The research shows that 67% of buyers expect to deliver a similar number of events in 2026, while a further 25% anticipate an increase in overall event activity.

“With over 59% of respondents concerned that a combination of increased costs and restricted budgets will impact on their event delivery, we are facing a classic stagflation situation, where clients may need to do more for less” comments Sam Gill, CEO, Venue Search London.  “With venues and suppliers facing increased input costs, buyers will need to negotiate hard and shop around more to get the value they are seeking from restricted budgets”.

Izzy Lambros, Head of Shows at Story Events added, “Whilst the survey also shows that AI is likely to assist buyers in venue finding, our recent record show attendance levels indicate that buyers still value the human interaction involved in meeting venues and suppliers in a live event environment”.
