Barts North Wing is a rare gem for corporate venue hire

The breathtaking Hogarth Stair, decorated with two of William Hogarth’s most celebrated paintings, The Pool of Bethesda and The Good Samaritan, leads guests to the centrepiece of London’s latest events venue, the Great Hall.

The Great Hall pairs historic character with modern event capabilities, featuring ornate plasterwork designed by Jean Baptiste St Michele and walls decorated with more than 3,000 historic benefactors to St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Supported by integrated lighting, heating and audio systems for large-scale events hosting up to 400 guests, its striking interiors provide a memorable backdrop for conferences, gala dinners, meetings and ceremonies.

For smaller meetings and events, the Henry VIII room seats up to 30 guests for dinner and 50 for receptions, while the Treasurer’s Room offer an intimate setting for up to 20 guests. Catering is provided by Lettice Events, with bespoke menus tailored to each space and each event.

Commenting on the opening of Barts North Wing, Will Palin, CEO of Barts Heritage said: “This has been a truly landmark restoration project, and we’re thrilled to see Barts North Wing enter its latest chapter as a venue for corporate meetings and events. It’s a space that inspires from the moment guests arrive, combining centuries of history with the facilities needed for today’s events.

“Since its restoration the venue has only been available to patrons, partners and stakeholders so we’re all incredibly excited to now open our doors more widely, giving wider audiences the opportunity to experience these remarkable spaces for themselves.”

Your corporate events enables the work of Barts Heritage

Originally built in 1732 to support St Bartholomew’s Hospital’s fundraising, the North Wing stood for the last 50 years without significant investment. In 2017 a new charity, Barts Heritage, was established to raise funds to carry out the restoration of the building. The project completed in September 2025. The launch of corporate and private venue hire forms part of Barts North Wing’s future as a space that supports Barts Heritage’s programming for the public and the hospital community.

By hosting an event at Barts North Wing you are enabling Barts Heritage to deliver their creative health and wellness programme for hospital staff and patients and preserving this beautiful building for future generations.
