OUR MEET UP AT THE STYLISH BOUTIQUE HOTEL, THE GUARDSMAN

We finally got to experience the newly opened five star boutique hotel, The Guardsman, on the hottest day ever recorded in the UK. Our earlier intended date had to be rescheduled due to train strikes.

Despite the +40°C temperatures in London that afternoon a group of PA Life Club members made their way by sweltering trains and tube to the this cool and sophisticated hotel in the heart of Westminster. We were grateful for the air con and the cooling drinks that awaited us on arrival. There’s nothing quite like Pimm’s on a hot summer’s day and The Guardsman made these beautifully.

We gathered at the intimate Library on the ground floor, a relaxing space that can be closed off the main Drawing Room for drinks receptions and meetings of up to 10 people. Our club members enjoyed the wonderful house champagne and delicious canapes, prepared in-house naturally.

More than a luxury hotel

The hotel has enjoyed a busy start since they opened after the last lockdown and they were nearly at full capacity that night but we were still able to see couple of different size bedrooms. However, all six of the Residences were all occupied. They are perfect for a longer stay and offer one, two or three bedrooms, sumptuous, beautifully designed and self-contained apartments with an own kitchen, a dining area, space to work, state-of-the-art technology, and options such as a private chef, a valet and 24 hour room service.

There is very much a member’s club feel about the place and the hotel aim for its guests to feel that it’s their home away from home.
