The PA Life Club’s Meet Up at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve on October 25th was a fantastic day out in the beautiful 600 acre Kent parkland that’s home to many exotic animals you’d expect to see on an African safari. We were lucky to see many of the endangered species on our mini safari and to learn about the conservation work done by the park’s partner charity The Aspinall Foundation. The hundreds of animals in the park are looked after incredibly well and when possible returned to wild in protected areas.

The Meet Up wasn’t just about the animals and safari

The 20 strong group of PAs, EAs and Office Managers who’ve joined on this special Meet Up had all come to also see the fantastic events and meetings spaces as well as the historic 4* boutique Port Lympne Hotel. The former mansion house is set within 15 acres of landscaped gardens, offering incredible views from every bedroom, some come with antique four-poster beds too.

Encircling the historic mansion house, the reserveโ€™s 14 acres of tranquil, landscaped, Italian style gardens allow you to enhance your event with outdoor activities, backed by breathtaking coastal views across to France.

Tour of the Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve events and meetings spaces

The events team were wonderful hosts, taking us a a tour of the main event and meeting spaces including the stunning new Orangery. It’s an elegant space with a nod of 1920 glamour. It’s very private and available for exclusive use only, seating up to 160 guests plus a dance floor, luxury washrooms and a cloakroom.

We were lucky to have our buffet lunched served at the Orangery. The menus at Port Lympne are created from locally sourced ingredients and with sustainability as a one of the top priorities. With the best of English wine at their doorstep you’ll also be sure to be served fabulous local wines, expertly paired by the staff. If you rather go for a glam cocktail they can mix that up for you too.

Another special space is the pretty Pergola, set in the whispering walled garden. Popular fro filmsets and photoshoots, and you can see why, it seats up to 100. If you utilise the surrounding garden are you can have up to 250 guests for a garden party, teambuilding day or a wellness day. Just a few ideas for this versatile space.

Plenty of stunning function rooms too

Port Lympne Hotel & Resort is an all-year round venue and offers extraordinary function rooms in the mansion, such as the Martin Jordan Room and Arthur Spencer Room. The rooms are decorated with hand-painted animal murals. They are perfect for dinners and meetings as is The Long Room used for larger meetings and training events with excellent AV set-up to ensure all goes smoothly.
