Postal-Museum-event-space-and-tunnels-PA-Life-Club-Meet-Up

The PA Life Club members were treated to a superb Meet Up at the Postal Museum in London on 16th November. It was a great opportunity to go down to the Royal Mail postal tunnels, deep underground in one of their Mail Trains and to also see what a unique events and celebrations venue the museum makes.

16 Club members were welcomed by a lovely events team who gave us a brief presentation of the history of the postal operations at the site and the Royal Mail tunnels network told us about the museum. Following the talk we taken on a walk around the fascinating museum.

This was an afternoon event with a light and delicious finger-food lunch with bowl food and salads, tea, coffee and fruit punch being served ahead us touring the event space in the main museum building. We were also able to view a larger space which is part of their events offering across the road.

The afternoon had gone in a flash and it was time to go on the most exciting rail cart ride through the tunnels underneath London streets along the routes of the old postal system. It was a fantastic experience. We heard a ghost train and saw the most amazing telling of history through projections on the tunnel walls, covering the events there from the early 1900โ€™s to recent days.
