FAM Trip to Clayton Hotel London Wall

A group of PA Life Club members headed to the City on September 19th, on a FAM trip to Clayton Hotel London Wall to see what they have to offer. Being a Thursday evening, the ‘new Friday’, the bars and restaurants in the square mile were buzzing with workers gathering for after work drinks, and the hotel bar was clearly one of the popular spots too.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the City, just a five minute walk from Liverpool Street station. Thanks to its central location pretty much all of the City is within a walking distance, making it easy to get to your meetings unaffected by any travel delays.

We gathered at the welcoming and relaxed restaurant area for a meet and greet with our hosts, Roisin McDonnell and Katalin Mayer, enjoying delicious cocktails expertly made for us. Roisin and Katalin told us about the London Wall hotel as well as their sister properties in the City and in Chiswick, South West London. The group has five London properties in total.

After a cocktail or two, it was time to take a look at some of the 89 bedrooms and junior suites. The rooms were light and contemporary, and still had that new freshness evident, having opened just over a year ago following an acquisition by the Dalata Hotel Group, an Irish hotel company that also owns Maldron Hotels. The bedrooms and the bathrooms are exquisite for a 4-star hotel, all even come with a Nespresso machine.

We met back at the restaurant to enjoy a lovely selection of canapes, and fish & chips, to continue informal networking over more drinks. We left feeling very well looked after by our hosts and the friendly restaurant and bar staff at the hotel.
