Travelling in comfort ranks high for executives

The most common reason to travel by taxi was to โ€œattend client meetingsโ€, with just under two thirds of all business travellers saying they use taxis for this purpose, rising to almost three quarters (72%) with C-level executives.

PAs and EAs can use the Uber Central dashboard and Delegate Booking tool to order vehicles that provide a range of comfort levels. Including Uber Business Comfort, Business Exec and Lux, and benefit from priority pick up and longer free wait times. Executives can also avoid any potential delays when rides are ordered ahead of time using Uber Reserve.

Jenna Brown, Director of Uber for Business UK, said: โ€œItโ€™s not surprising that executives want more comfort. When executives are travelling for business they want to focus on the task ahead of them โ€“ they donโ€™t want to feel cramped. Neither uncomfortable on their way to doing it. What really stood out from the survey, is how many business travellers rely on third parties to order their taxis. This is one of the reasons why we recently launched Delegate Booking in the UK, as this helps third parties to do this seamlessly.โ€

The survey observing the popularity of comfort for corporate travel found that almost two thirds (65%) of business travellers now think it is important that they are able to order green vehicles. But this rises to more than three quarters (77%) with C-level executives. Itโ€™s also possible for EAs to order an electric vehicle for an executive, through Uber Green. Almost a third of Uberโ€™s miles in London are now covered by electric vehicles.

More than half (54%) of business travellers also said they want their company to track their carbon emissions. It is possible for employers to view the carbon emissions generated from work trips via the Uber for Business Sustainability Dashboard.
