Last week, Green & Fortune had the absolute pleasure of welcoming 12 fantastic event organisers from PA Life Club for a sun-soaked evening of discovery, networking, and a taste of what makes hospitality on London’sย South Bank truly special. From sweeping views of the Thames to delicious canapรฉs and cocktails, the night was designed to inspire โ and showcase the full potential of two of Londonโs most iconic event spaces: Sea Containers Events and Rose Court Events.
Stop one: Sea Containers Events โ where every detail shines
Our journey began at the ever-impressive Sea Containers Events, where guests were greeted with floor-to-ceiling views and expansive terraces across every space.
We kicked off on Level 12, our most flexible space, where four rooms can seamlessly transform into a single, dynamic venue ideal for conferences, receptions, and elegant dinners. With a private terrace and panoramic river views, itโs a showstopper for any event format.
Next, we stepped into the striking Amphitheatre, a double-height architectural gem connecting levels 12 and 13. With a backdrop that includes the London skyline and the Thames, itโs arguably the most dramatic presentation space in London.
But the real wow moment? The Sunset, a favourite among our guests (and our team!), this space is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or intimate gatherings, especially when paired with the Amphitheatre. The terrace here offers unbeatable views of the riverโs bend โ capturing icons like the London Eye, OXO Tower, Somerset House, and the Palace of Westminster.
We made our way to the Rooftop Terrace, where the 360ยฐ views stretch from the Houses of Parliament to the Tower of London. Itโs also home to our annual New Yearโs Eve celebration, overlooking Londonโs famous fireworks display.
Our final stop at Sea Containers was the Cucumber Restaurant, affectionately named for its vibrant green bar. Guests enjoyed a curated menu of colourful canapรฉs and champagne with meats proudly sourced from our very own Northumberland farm.
Stop two: Rose Court Events โ history meets skyline glamour
With our glasses just emptied, we strolled along the Southbank past the Tate Modern to our second destination: Rose Court Events, located at No. 2 Southwark Bridge on the historic site of the original Rose Theatre, frequented by Shakespeare and Marlowe long before The Globe.
We headed straight up to Level 10, home to our main conference suite, a light-filled, versatile space for up to 300 delegates or 200 diners. Its sweeping covered terrace offers breath-taking city views and plenty of selfie-worthy backdrops (The Shard included!).
Next, we explored the modern meeting rooms, which recently made a star appearance on The Apprentice โ yes, itโs where one of the candidates got the boot!
We then stepped into the show-stopping Circle Bar & Restaurant, a sleek glass-walled space that wraps around the entire floor with floor-to-ceiling views of St Paulโs Cathedral, Shakespeareโs Globe, and the Tate Modern. Itโs ideal for dining, dancing, and celebrations of up to 400 guests.
The night continued up the elegant marble staircase to the Rooftop Garden, where we soaked in golden hour light and took a group photo with Londonโs skyline as our backdrop. We wrapped up our evening back in the Circle with a cocktail and bowl food reception. The passionfruit caipirinhas were a standout favourite, and the perfect way to end a lively, inspiring evening.
