De Vere Cotswold Water Park – a stunning Cotswold venue set in nature

PA Life Club members travelled to the idyllic Cotswolds to experience the tranquil De Vere Cotswold Water Park venue set in nature. Most of us travelled by train, a 90 minute direct service from London Paddington to Swindon. The hotel itself is only 25 minutes from Swindon station, and on a public bus route with a stop right outside the hotel. 

The route from Swindon to the hotel is very scenic with golden villages and rolling countryside all around you. You get the urge to reach for your wellies! The landscape and beauty that the Cotswold has to offer is breathtaking, and the surrounding Cotswold Water Park – which is adjacent to the hotel, has 152 lakes to explore. Perfect backdrops for breaks, even better if you can take a short stroll between meetings and sessions.

What’s the hotel like?

The hotel is designed to re-create the light and air that surrounds you, with floor to ceiling glass windows, tastefully calming interiors that soothes the soul. This is a place you will want to stay for more than just one night!

Within the grounds of the hotel, you have nature reserves, elegant floating Swans, and wildlife- the scene is really something from The Notebook- you can spend your evenings relaxing on the terrace or on your very own balcony and just take the world in one breath at a time.

The rooms are spacious, airy, tastefully designed and incredibly comfortable, with your own veranda or terrace to enjoy the lake views from. The hotel has three restaurants; you can enjoy contemporary food and drink at The Old Boat House, seasonal dining in their Brasserie or you can simply relax in the Lounge for smaller plates and nibbles and tipple or two! (the Rhubard Gin is a firm recommendation).
