PA Life Club’s Experimental Experience in Covent Garden

Our evening started early in French style with a refined wine tasting at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels (CVS) in Seven Dials. The three wines selected for us were paired perfectly, with canapes, and lovely fresh oysters to enhance the tasting experience. The ‘guess the wine’ competition was a fun part of the tasting. One of our members, Emma Taylor, EA and Event Planner at SLB, has a great palate for wine and guessed correctly what the wine in our blind tasting was, winning a bottle of the lovey Chardonnay du Bourgogne.

We continued on to nearby Henrietta Hotel, located on Henrietta Street, to enjoy a dinner at its Henri restaurant, helmed by chef Jackson Boxer. Henri showcases a blend of British and French influences, with a touch of Italian influence too, in both cuisine and design, with the gorgeous space curated by Dorothée Meilichzon. We enjoyed an incredibly tasty dinner, starting with sharing platters before our hearty mains. Desserts awaited at our next venue.

It was time to head to the third location of the evening which was the well known late-night venue, STEREO almost next door, where finished the evening in over delicious desserts and cocktails, to the beat of great live music. Some of us were in no rush to head home early and stayed to enjoy the atmosphere as the club started to fill up.

OUR HOSTS FOR THE EVENING

The evening was hosted by Gillian and Sam from the Experimental Group. They look after events for the group’s London venues and have hosted events for clients such as Disney, Panasonic, Tate Britain, Sony, and several corporate Finance groups. They provide end-to-end event management and are both very much of the mindset that anything is possible within the Experimental Group offering.

Gillian and Sam were most welcoming and helpful hosts and happily answered our and gave us an informative talk about their locations.
