A group of PA Life Club members joined the events and marketing team of Open House on Friday June 28th for a wonderful day of great hospitality at The Broadcaster and The Lighterman, both beautiful and contemporary London venues.
The day started with a warm welcome by Tanya Billey and Robyn Bishop from the events and marketing team over coffee and pastries, and taking in the great views from the rooftop terrace of The Broadcaster at London’s iconic Television Centre in White City. The rooftop is available for private hire and makes a great spot for any season rooftop parties, alfresco dining and drinks receptions for larger groups. After our second cuppas we joined our hosts for a showround of this impressive contemporary pub venue that’s set over four floors, housing pub, private dining rooms and open plan events space. The Broadcaster is known as your West London go to for any occasion and a great place to take your teams or host an event at.
After a very pleasant morning at The Broadcaster is was time to jump into our private transfers and head to our second destination in Kings Cross, The Lighterman. It’s an equally wonderful restaurant and venue, also part of the Open House group, and situated by the Regent’s Canal, historical Coal Drops Yard and overlooking Granary Square.
We were warmly welcomed by the team and were soon sipping a delicious summer cocktails and taking in the tranquil views. Whilst lunch from their new summer inspired menu was being prepared for us we had a chance to look around all the spaces at this beautiful venue. Our wonderful lunch was served at the first floor dining room that enjoys panoramic views of the Granary Square and the canal. The dining room has space for 60 seated guests or 120 standing.

Both venues are available for exclusive hire. The Lighterman has space for up to 600, indoor and outdoor. The Broadcaster can accommodate 600.
