A big thank you for Sticky Mango for hosting PA Life Club members last night at their beautiful restaurant venue.
30 of our members were invited to experience one of Londonโs best kept culinary secrets that’s Sticky Mango and to see what this stunning restaurant, just a hop and a skip away from buzzing South Bank and also from both Waterloo and Blackfriars stations.
Upon arrival we were shown to the third floor Blossom Room. As the name suggests, we were greeted by gorgeous blossoms, the focal point of the room. To add to the floral theme, the walls were covered in exquisite Osbourne & Little floral wallpaper with draping blossoms and exotic birds. Delicate orchids and nice Balinese touches added to the feel of warm South East Asian hospitality. It’s simply a stunning space.
We kicked the evening off with lovely signature cocktails over informal networking and chance to chat with our hosts, Fran – the Event and Marketing Manager – and Giovanni – the General Manager.
As if the cocktails weren’t enough of a lovely welcome, the Sticky Mango team had another great surprise up their sleeve. David Harris, the Magicman London himself joined us for the night and had us all in awe with his truly mind blowing tricks. Brilliant fun!
Tour of the Sticky Mango restaurant and event spaces
We were all eager to see the rest of the building. The ground floor Orchid Room & Terrace is an impressive private dining space with its own entrance and an outdoor terrace as well. The wallpaper in this room features white orchids and the ceiling is covered with flowers hanging down to add to the wow effect. As a corner room with large windows on two sides it basks in plenty of natural light during the day.
The room seats 20, 14 around a large dining room in a boardroom style or 35 standing for a drinks reception, plus there is additional space on the terrace.
The Copper Blossom Room & Bar on the lower ground floor is a very different space again. The dark and moody 1920s inspired decor lends itself perfectly for drinks reception and parties. The separate dining area can also be curtained off for extra privacy or as a separate area.
Seats up to 30, boardroom style 18 and standing up to 50.
Time to sample the much awaited culinary delights
To finish our lovely evening we were served a wonderful selection of canapes and bowl food. I will have to go back especially for the vegetable Pad Thai, deep fried sushi rice served with fresh salmon and the Thai spiced scallops.
