However there are certain ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ with our events – please see below what to expect when signing up to attend a FAM Trip…
These networking and showcase opportunities are professional events, organised jointly with our venue and other supplier partners, and need to therefore be treated as such. We have put together a guide on what to expect when signing up to a FAM Trip to ensure the events deliver the desired value to both the assistants attending and the suppliers hosting the event.
What to expect when registering to attend a FAM Trip with PA Life
Here are some key points to adhere to when registering to attend an event such as a PA Life Club FAM Trip.
- Only register to attend if you are interested in the event content such as seeing the venue or learning more about the supplier. Events are naturally great opportunities for peer-to-peer networking, but they are not just meant as socials for friends to catch up. They are always professional occasions, so do network with everyone, don’t sit in the corner with your friend, enjoying the complimentary drink and food. And most importantly, talk to the hosts and find out as much as you can about the opportunities of working with them in the future.
- Most events have a limited number of delegate places. Should your registration not make the guest list don’t be disheartened as we do our best to offer all PA Life Club members a chance to attend our events. Therefore register for another event if that is genuinely of interest to you. It also helps to email us at admin@palifeclub.co.uk to let us know what events you are planning, and share details of the type of venues and locations you are considering so we can match you to the best FAM Trips.
- If you are allocated a guest place we will email you minimum three weeks prior the event to confirm your place. The confirmation email will be sent from PA Life Club Admin and will include a form for you to accept your place, and to add any dietary requirements. It’s important to complete the form as soon as you receive (even if you have no dietary needs) as it also serves as an acceptance from you for your place. If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to our reserve list. We request at the very minimum a 72 hour notice if you cannot attend, but would urge everyone to let us as soon as you, given a chance for someone from the reserve list to attend instead of you. There is also a calendar link on your confirmation email to add the FAM Trip to your calendar so you don’t forget.
- If you fail to complete the acceptance and dietary form within 5 days of receipt, your place will be offered to someone else. We will then let you know that you lost your place. Please keep an eye on your junk folder in case the confirmation email has landed there. Or email admin@palife.co.uk three weeks prior the event if you are unsure whether you’ve got a place. If you are receiving our regular emails and newsletter then our mails should not end un in your junk folder.
- If we cannot offer you a place on a FAM Trip. If you haven’t received a confirmation email three weeks ahead of the FAM Trip, you will remain on the waiting list. However, if you are very keen to visit the venue or meet the supplier, please email us with details of why you’d wish to attend, so we can prioritise you on the reserve list should a place become available.
