Art in Offices. Art is Good for Business

Art in Offices believes that art has enormous benefits for people in their workspaces. Art increases wellness by 42% by reducing sick days, improving mental health and making people happy, and this directly translates into people being 35% more productive.ย Happy people do their best work.

Since 2012 we have been working with companies to enrich their workspace, inspire their people and empower their brand. In that time as office art curators we have worked with over 500 clients, curating art into offices and workspaces of all sizes and styles. From 6-person offices that needed just two artworks to rent, to offices of thousands of square feet that needed 150 + artworks to grace almost every wall. Weโ€™ve placed sculptures in receptions and commissioned artworks for board rooms, and everything in between.

This has happened alongside working with 200 emerging artists over the 12 years weโ€™ve been operating, supporting their burgeoning careers, placing emerging artists in offices, putting them in front of new audiences, in new spaces like workspaces, offering them the opportunities to run events and workshops and providing them a new income stream, publicity and client base. We bring your office and their art together.

How do we help you choose the right artwork? Well, it all starts with one question: โ€œWhat is the first impression you want clients and staff to have when they walk through the door?โ€ That answer helps us curate a selection of art that will help you create that impression, using artwork from our array of 150 artists. You donโ€™t have to worry about choosing art for your office when you have the experts at hand.

Our approach with each client is bespoke because no two companies are the same. We get to know you as a company, and find artwork to suit your companyโ€™s personality, which takes out the minefield of peopleโ€™s personal opinion and focuses on brand identity – creating the story of your company. Itโ€™s not branded art, but it is artwork for your brand. Every client is offered a bespoke solution that takes into account their budget, the size of the office, the number of walls, how they use their office space, the visitors to the office space, what they want to achieve and that all-important first impression. We can work directly with Office managers and PA, or you can introduce us to your office fit out company to work with them.

With each client weโ€™ve worked with, we have seen the difference artwork can make to the space. We have entered quiet whispering offices at the beginning of the day and left to the tune of giggling and buzzing energy. Our testimonials all attest to how much of a difference the artwork has made to their workspace. It encourages people back in to use the office because it feels welcoming, comfortable and dynamic, staff feel cared for and wellness goes up by 42% because people are happier at work, and happier people are 35% more productive. Thatโ€™s a huge number when you think about it.

So what happens if you donโ€™t want to commit to buying art? No problem, 95% of our clients rent artwork, either renting art on a long-term basis for 12 months or more or rotating their art, changing it every 3, 4 or 6 months. Renting art is great if you want to constantly refresh your space, arenโ€™t sure what would suit the office, or just have too many opinions to please all at once.

How does the process work? Very simply we come into your office to talk to you, hear from you what you want to achieve from having art in your office, and then more practically we measure and take photographs. Then we send you a proposal with three options, at Bronze Silver and Gold (budget levels), all with mock-ups of how the space will look, and all based around the ideas we have discussed together โ€“ and thatโ€™s all included in your complimentary consultation. We work together to find the right selection for you, and then once youโ€™re happy we ship and install the work for you, and cover all the insurance of artworks on loan.

Want even more creativity? Well, why not try one of our creative workshops? They work as either a team building activity, a social or for some staff wellness time. Weโ€™ll send our artists to you for an hour to do something fun and creative, like painting workshops, collage, drawing, or something more quirky like Hunger Games Vs Art Attack, Sip and Paint or going out to a gallery show with a curry afterwards. It brings the team together and keeps up the energy and team togetherness.
