Relationships are at the very heart of Randolphs, and in particular the relationships we have built with our PAs whether they are recruiting private household staff or looking for their next career move. Eva McEndoo, Senior Consultant at Randolphs Recruitment tells us more…
Whilst the recruitment business can be seen as a numbers game, agencies face fierce competition to land new clients and better candidates. Therefore, the art of strong relationship building is key to success, repeat business, long term relationships and partnerships.
Relationship building with PAs makes all the difference to Randolphs
This applies to both clients and candidates and we pride ourselves on constantly learning, networking, strengthening our existing relationship. It’s equally important for us to nurture new connections and to be be proactive in everything we do. It is tempting to focus on just filling jobs and moving on to the next fillable role after that. But really focusing on having strong relationships with PAs who represent demanding clients, or really understand ‘the pain’ in filling a difficult role, pays massive dividends in the long term. And after 25 years we are here for the long term!
We find that this approach, whilst we still have targets and are driven by making placements, makes for a happier team, a more collaborative relationship with our clients and partners and a healthier relationship with our candidates. We make the effort to meet our clients in person, stay in touch with our candidates pre, during and post placement and we have increased our presence and visibility in the marketplace. We also specifically dedicate time each week to meet and discuss clients that have multiple roles with us to ensure we share ideas, keep on top of employment issues and updates and maintain a seamless, professional service.
We find that relationship building fosters a meaningful partnership that makes the overall experience for our clients and candidates more respectful and harmonious and benefits all not just today but tomorrow also. It engineers more trust; it means that both candidates and clients come back to us, and our business grows from strength to strength. In turn, we offer a bespoke, personal service, making sure our contacts are looked after and valued.
Relationship building and networking has been a focus for us in the last year:
Randolphs at the PA Show February 2024 – a great event for building relationships with PAs
Always a great networking event, the recent PA Show at Excel in London gave us the opportunity to connect with candidates, present our services to potential clients and explore new partnership opportunities. What we took away from the event was new candidates to register, new contacts and potential clients to follow up and it was fun to do as part of a team, so we built on our own relationships also.
Randolphs Autumn PA Event October 2023
This was a unique networking event bringing together some fantastic PA talent in a relaxed, informal environment. Our guest speaker successfully engaged our guests, offering them a discount at their luxury linen brand and the feedback from the event was both enthusiastic and positive.
We also held a Housekeeping event in 2023, successfully exhibited at the Independent School Show 2023 (Geneva and London), visited the Childcare Show and have held several other events. These have included a French speaking Nanny evening, several training events in conjunction with Norland College and we have attended meetings at The Association of Nanny Agencies.
By remaining visible and focussing on our long-term relationships we can deliver a professional and competitive service. This way we can tailor what we provide to meet the needs of our clients, partners and candidates and remain relevant and respected in the field of private household staffing.
