Thank you to everyone who took part in the GO Sport Travel and Go Sport Music competition last week. The entries were a pleasure to read. There were so many different memories, all wonderful, and all worth a prize. But there can only be one winner.
The winner is Julia Nicholson from Atkins Global. Congratulations!
The best event memory:
My favourite music memory is attending the Oasis concert at Knebworth in 1996.
We were amazed that we managed to purchase tickets in the first place as they had sold out within hours โ I think two and a half million people had tried to buy tickets which was 2% of the population at the time.
Joining 250,000 fans on the day was one of my most memorable experiences. Back then toilet and food facilities were pretty bleak, it was a long wait for the concert to start and Oasis were mere ants on the stage. It also took us around four hours to get out of the car park.
Julia has won a ยฃ200 gift voucher, which can be used against any of the products offered on the GO Sport / GO Music travel website. Please email

Experience top live music with GO Music Travel
With live music being such a huge part of peopleโs lives we would like to let you know a little of what GO Music Travel can offer in this regard.
The company has allocations at a number of Londonโs top music venues and 2023 is an exciting year with London venues hosting live performances from a galaxy of global stars.
Here’s a selection of London’s top music venues and the hottest gigs this summer
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The new multi-purpose stadium maybe recognised as the home of Tottenham Hotspur stadium but the new stadium was designed with the hosting of major pop concerts in mind. Last year saw Lady Ga Ga and Guns Nโ Roses playing the stadium. This year’s line up is equally impressive with Red Hot Chill Peppers, Wizkid and a series of concerts by the one-and-only Beyoncรฉ.
We can offer seats offering great views and access to a lounge for light bites before the concert and a cash bar throughout.
Wembley stadium
The national stadium is known for temporarily stripping away the hallowed turf during the summer months to host great concerts year on year. This year Wembley Stadium celebrates 100 years and we know that a number of you will have memories of concerts like Live Aid, Bruce Springsteen, Queen and Michael Jackson at the old Wembley. The new Wembley has seen Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Capital FM Summertime ball and last year the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert. Coming up this year are concerts by Harry Styles and Blur, both performing multiple dates. Def Leppard & Motley Crue will also be strutting their stuff as part of their world tour. The most recently announced new date for The Weekndโs concert in August.
Go Music Travel offers Level 2 seating for concerts. The seats guarantee a great view and access to the Club Wembley concourse area where you can purchase food and drinks from the many outlets offering a wide variety of food and drink. And you can take that back to your seats.
Arsenal Stadium
Another north London football club that has created a Summer concert setting is the Emirates Stadium.ย Acts who have already rocked out N5 are The Killers, Green Day and Muse. This year itโs the Artic Monkeys who will take the stage, performing 3 dates in June. These concerts are nearly already sold out so please get in touch soon should you fancy going!
We can offer packages which include premium seating, a complimentary drink on arrival and pre-concert meal with a cash bar available throughout.
We also have allocations and access at a number of music venues throughout London so please donโt hesitate to get in touch should there be a concert that might tickle your fancy.
