A corporate summer event at Center Parcs felt like a holiday

“It felt like a holiday!” was the feedback by Dalcour Maclaren employees after their recent corporate summer event at Center Parcs Woburn Forest.

Dalcour Maclaren chose Center Parcs Woburn Forest to host their annual summer event, with a fun-filled itinerary designed to bring the 450 attendees together and celebrate their 20^th anniversary in style.

An annual summer event for 450 delegates

Dalcour Maclaren needed a venue to host their annual summer event for 450 delegates. They required conference space, team building activities, a party in the evening, catering and accommodation – and they wanted a venue that could provide the whole package.

Center Parcs ticked all the boxes for a corporate summer event…

Center Parcs Woburn Forest offered everything they needed all in one place, as well as exclusive use of The Venue during their event. The central location was easily accessible for delegates travelling by plane, train and car, and the beautiful forest environment provided a refreshing change of scenery.

An event designed to bring people together

The main objective was to bring everyone in the company together, in line with their #oneteam ethos. There was a big focus on team building, which gave delegates the perfect opportunity to try something different, meet new people from across the business and strengthen their working relationships. The evening party, organised by GoTo Events, ran seamlessly and was a fantastic experience that brought all the event delegates together.

Solving the logistical challenges

Organising team building activities for 450 delegates required careful planning and co-operation between Center Parcs and Dalcour Maclaren. Attendees were asked to select up to five activity choices in advance, then organisers scheduled them according to preference, activity timetabling and travel time between activities. To help the event run smoothly, each delegate was given a personalised lanyard with details of their two activity bookings.

“Our best event yet!”

The event received really positive feedback from delegates, with many calling it Dalcour Maclaren’s best event yet. People praised the chilled-out atmosphere, the fun team building activities, the evening party and being able to relax together in their lodge in the woodland. In fact, lots of them described it as feeling “like a holiday” – making it a great reward for their hard work and a fantastic way to bring everyone together in the forest.
