The Science Museum welcomed over 50 clients on Wednesday 17th April to an exclusive evening of innovation and celebration by their corporate events team. PA Life enjoyed the drinks reception in the Smith Centre, followed by an intimate dinner in Illuminate as part of a celebratory event designed to reveal the wonder of the Science Museum as a great venue choice…
The event was a perfect way to showcase the variety of the many versatile event spaces at the museum as well as celebrate the 5th birthday of the Illuminate space. And if you are after a large venue to truly wow your guests then you can also take over the entire museum for your exclusive use.
The Science Museum collaborates with fantastic venue partners
The event was created in collaboration with esteemed partners: Moving Venue (catering), White Light (AV), Sternberg Clarke (entertainment), Lavender Green (florists) and Options GreatHire (furniture & tableware). Each partner contributed special touches to enhance the experience for guests, including a live teppanyaki station, unique lighting, beautiful floral arrangements, lively acts, and spring-themed furniture.
Science Museum a great venue choice supporting a great mission
The evening also provided an important opportunity for the team to share the museumโs mission and values and how clients directly support this by hosting events at the museum.
The evening began with a drinks reception in the scenic Smith Centre before guests moved up to Level 4 of Illuminate where a film highlighting the museumโs mission and values was projection-mapped onto the walls by White Light.
At the heart of the Science Museum is innovation, which is reflected in its core values: Think Big, Reveal Wonder, Ignite Curiosity, Be Open For All and Share Authentic Stories. The film highlighted these values, underscoring the museum’s commitment to breaking down barriers in STEM and delivering exceptional experiences for all.
Cocktails, dinner and amazing entertainment
Guests enjoyed a two-course, seasonal spring themed dinner on Level 5 of Illuminate courtesy of Moving Venue, complemented by post-dinner cocktails and entertainment including a hula hooper, contortionist and singer.
Jodie Guilford, Business Development and Marketing Manager at the Science Museum, comments: โWe wanted to create a special celebratory evening for clients old and new, not only to showcase our event spaces and the opportunity to take over the entire museum for exclusive events, but more importantly to share what our clientsโ support means to the museum and how they contribute to our wider mission and values. By hiring the Science Museum, clients are helping to break down โnot for meโ STEM barriers and make STEM engagement accessible, relevant, and exciting. With their incredible support weโre able to continue to inspire future generations.โ
