Senior Personal Assistant to the Archbishop of Canterbury

£33,932 p.a. rising to £37,131 after successful completion of probation

This is an exciting opportunity to join the central team supporting the work and ministry of the Archbishop of Canterbury in his dual role as head of the Church of England and focus of unity for the worldwide Anglican Communion.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Archbishop and Mrs Welby on a day-to-day basis, leading a team of three that is central to the efficient functioning of the Archbishop’s office and his daily work by providing continuous and resilient support. The post holder acts as the channel for many of the Archbishop’s most important relationships and will have sufficient authority to deal with people confidently, whilst maintaining approachability to colleagues and key contacts.

As an experienced Personal or Executive Assistant to a senior leader, you will be highly motivated with experience of working in a complex and dynamic organisation with multiple external relationships. In addition, you will have extensive experience of complex diary management and a collaborative approach to achieving results.
