Have you ever wondered if mentoring would benefit you? The answer would for most of us be ‘most definitely’. You may also be surprised to find out that your Exec has most likely had a mentor in the past, and may still have one, as well as being one themselves. Let’s look at why mentoring matters for Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants and Office Managers?…
We are proud to have a PA Life Club’s very own peer-to-peer mentoring programme. Just like the Club, its free for all executive and business support professionals to join.
This year PA Life is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and the PA Life Club is just a few years younger. Right from the start we have been thriving to support the assistant community of Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Virtual Assistants, Office Managers, and other business support professionals.
How do we help business support professionals?
Everything we do starts with our community of assistants in mind. Our expert-led content in our quarterly print magazine and online, as well as our tailored events, including FAM Trips, partner offers and discounted online course are carefully selected for our audience.
PA Life Club Mentoring Programme is another key offerings, providing EAs, PAs and Office Managers an opportunity to navigate their career journeys with the support of their fellow Club members. The programme is totally free as mentors volunteer their time for the few months the mentoring sessions typically last. The mentee and mentor pairs often stay in touch much longer though, connecting when there is a need for a friendly chat, or to discuss anything that the mentee may want to run past their mentor.

Would you like to be mentored?
We are looking for more mentees to join us and have exceptional senior EAs waiting to be paired to you. Mentoring is for everyone – what event stage in your career you are, even senior managers and the C-Suite have mentors. And our mentors can also be mentees.
Why not get in touch with us on editorial@palife.co.uk, with a subject line ‘Mentoring’ to express your interest and find out more.
You won’t be tied into a heavy commitment – our mentee and mentor pairs typically talk one a month about a topic that the mentee wished to raise. Most mentoring relationships tend to last roughly six to twelve months, some go on for much longer, taking breaks as suits both parties.
We don’t ask for hefty reports either, a quick email after a session to let us know how it’s going is enough.
