Searcys wins contract with One Moorgate Place

Searcys has landed a five-year hospitality contract with One Moorgate Place, home to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). The contract means Searcys will be in charge of providing creative catering for events and the members’ café.

The win for Searcys comes ahead of a much-anticipated re-launch of One Moorgate Place’s recently refurbished Great Hall, which has a capacity of 600.  Alongside the Great Hall, the venue also offers visitors an auditorium with a capacity of 107 and meeting rooms for events of up to 60 people.  The team at Searcys are pleased with the deal, showing the confidence One Moorgate Place has put in the hospitality team and plan on using the opportunity to demonstrate their skill and dedication within the industry.

“One Moorgate Place is a unique venue which brings together over 120 years of tradition with state of the art conference and events facilities,” said Sharron Gunn, Executive Director at ICAEW. “It was important that we selected the right partner to work with us at this special venue, and we are therefore delighted to appoint Searcys and look forward to working with them over the coming years.”

Along with the team working at One Moorgate Place, Searcys will add the space to its Exclusive Events service, a venue finder that provides organisers with relevant information for all its event spaces.

“In addition to our combined intent to deliver great food and appropriate service, One Moorgate Place will benefit from access to our Exclusive Events team,” explained Matt Thomas, Managing Director of Searcys. “This centralised service will act as an extension to One Moorgate Place’s sales team as we work together to promote further the venue’s presence in the marketplace.”
