Gleneagles to reopen its doors on July 15th

Gleneagles, one of Scotlandโ€™s most iconic hotels and sporting estates, will reopen its doors on July 15th, pending final guidance and advice from the Scottish government.

The hotel has been working around the clock to carefully review its entire operation to develop a meticulous new set of safety protocols. A number of adjustments have been made and measures put in place to provide the highest standards of safety at all times.

From how the hotel team will interact with guests and colleagues, to checking in, moving around the hotel and servicing bedrooms, food preparation, and the seating plans in restaurants and bars – an enhanced set of hygiene and safety measures have been implemented across the estate to provide even greater peace of mind during guestsโ€™ time at the Glorious Playground.

In addition, understanding that the situation is ever evolving, the hotel has introduced a flexible booking policy which will allow guests to rearrange their stay at short notice should the need arise.

Gleneaglesโ€™ says its speciality has always been in arranging bespoke experiences โ€“ whether guests are looking for an intimate dinner in their own private space, a beautiful family picnic by the side of Laich Loch, or a secluded countryside walk in the Scottish Highlands โ€“ the hotelโ€™s 850 acres make for a plethora of adventures and activities for guests to enjoy in the open air.

On May 29th, following the First Ministerโ€™s decision to ease restrictions on outdoor leisure, golfers were welcomed back to the hotelโ€™s fairways once again.

The hotel will continue to follow the Scottish governmentโ€™s advice and work with public health authorities on the phased exist from lockdown.

Conor Oโ€™Leary, Joint Managing Director, Gleneagles, said: โ€œWeโ€™re thrilled to have an opening date for Gleneagles in sight and look forward to bringing some joy to our guests after what has been a difficult few months for all of us. Whilst our priority must and always will be safety, and protecting the wellbeing of everyone at Gleneagles, neither of those important responsibilities takes away from our main commitment of providing guests with a sense of escape and adventure.โ€
