Charing Cross Hotel completes major makeover

The Charing Cross Hotel in central London has invested half a million pounds in its meetings and events spaces. The refurbishment project, which was completed at the end of August, saw eight of the hotelโ€™s meeting and event rooms completely redesigned and refurbished, with new technology available, including HD presentation equipment, smart TVs and convenient USB charging ports in every room.

Guests can also take advantage of free, superfast BT wifi available in all bedrooms and public areas, as well as specially scented marker pens that are provided to help stimulate delegates.

The hotelโ€™s boardroom is one of the main highlights, with state-of-the-art technology and sleek, stylish dรฉcor, ideal for corporate events as well as private occasions such as anniversaries, weddings and Christmas celebrations. The Nelson Room pays homage to its namesake with a nautical theme and images of Lord Nelson adorning the walls.

The rooms were all decorated with their own bespoke trimmings, including hand-embroidered curtains and custom-made lighting and chandeliers. The designers have also selected traditional art to bring each of the rooms to life, such as an oil painting depicting the Battle of Trafalgar for the venueโ€™s Trafalgar Room.

The hotel has also teamed up with a new AV provider, Eclipse Presentations, to offer technological solutions for all corporate meetings and private events held at the property.

The Charing Cross Hotel is ideally located on the Strand next to Charing Cross station. Easily accessible and within convenient reach of the rest of London, the hotel is adjacent to the popular Covent Garden area and Theatreland. For more information, visit guoman.com/charing cross.
