Bristol PA Network’s rapid growth leads to collaboration with Glow

Just 10 months after its launch, the Bristol PA Network has experienced phenomenal growth and highlighted an appetite amongst PAs and support staff for training and development. The group recently announced a partnership with Bristol-based corporate event planning specialist Glow.

With free membership and quarterly after-work events, the network fills the gap left by recession-led training budget cuts – providing events geared towards personal and professional development. Membership is open to PAs, EAs, secretaries and office administrative professionals. Research shows that there are in excess of 160 job titles worldwide covering this type of role.

Founded by Debs Eden, an experienced PA and former Executive PA “PA of the Year”, the network was started as a way to meet people doing a similar role, but it quickly expanded into a professional career development forum with a membership of more than 180 support professionals.

Glow was founded in 2009 by Sean Kingwell and Louise Gregory with the simple goal of building trusted, long-standing client relationships through the provision of quality service and innovative ideas. The company will handle all venue sourcing and booking for the Bristol PA Network and can also support members with event planning, venue finding and incentive travel management.

Regional Account Manager at Glow Chris Parks comments: “We are delighted to be working with the Bristol PA Network and sharing our expertise to help expand the group. Through collaboration we can support both the network and its members with all event-related projects.”

Debs Eden says: “So many PAs organise events that it made sense to bring specialists on board. We will be looking to build further strategic partnerships that will benefit our members and make their working lives easier.”

The next Bristol PA Network event is “Communicate with Clarity”, featuring leading UK trainer Lindsay Taylor of Your Excellency, which will take place on 22 April at the Bristol Hotel. For more information, or to book a place, visit bristolpanetwork.co.uk/events.
