Regent Street Cinema hosts networking event with Venuemasters London

Regent Street Cinema (University of Westminster) will be hosting a networking event with Venuemasters London (VML) on Tuesday, 1 December to celebrate the unique, academic venues in London, now available for hire.

Between 3.30pm and 6pm on 1 December, the Regent Street Cinema will open its doors for a networking event, welcoming prospective clients to a preview of this unique and historic space. Drinks and canapés will be served within the cinema bar, as well as the additional opportunity for a complimentary ticket to the evening screening of Sicario.

The VML programme will drive awareness of London’s hidden academic buildings, which are now available for commercial hire. The Regent Street Cinema, built in 1848 and housed within the Polytechnic Institution on London’s Regent Street, was the first in the country to show moving pictures. In 1896, the cinema showcased the Lumière brothers’ Cinématographe to a paying audience and, as the curtain fell, British cinema was born. The afternoon event will showcase the offering of “the birthplace of British Cinema”, as well as the unique assets that this venue can offer for corporate events.

Launching the VML joint-venture to drive awareness of the unique and interesting academic event spaces in London, the programme will showcase the incredible spaces for hire within London, while engaging with guests and inviting them to visit the eclectic list of academic venues now available for corporate entertainment.
