PA Life Training Day comes to a close

PA Life Training Day has come to a close. As all of our attending PAs head home after a long day of learning, let’s take time to reflect on the afternoon sessions.

PAs learned to speak up about their personal accomplishments with Nick Fewings from Ngagement Works, got an introduction to Office 365 and a few top tips from Daniel Woloszczuk of Escalla, had a breakdown of social media for PAs from Matt Davis from The Bright Click and received tips for running the perfect event from Chris Powell, The Event Expert.

The last session of the day was a panel discussion lead by PA Life Editor Amelia Walker featuring Adam Fidler from Adept Executive Support; Alison Boler, Paralegal PA at Sony Music; and Steve Heard, Director at Hays PA & Secretarial. They went through the job-searching process step by step, giving PAs top tips and handy hints for making the decision to take the next step in their career, how to write a great CV and coverletter, acing the interview to land an offer and even how to hand in a professional resignation. We’ll be releasing a full transcript of the session later this week, so watch this space.

Feedback from delegates, speakers and suppliers has been very positive already, with many visiting PAs saying they’ve learned valuable skills throughout the day and are walking away with tools and techniques they can put into practice straight away. Our speakers have left with a feeling of confidence – and even a few requests for proposals to do training at some of the attendees’ companies.
