Santa’s Dray returns to London to support Wrap Up London winter coat campaign

Spread warmth and cheer this festive season as Young’s Pubs returns to the capital with its own version of Santa’s sleigh as a horse-drawn carriage, which will make its grand tour of London on Thursday 5^th December. In the spirit of giving as part of the Wrap Up London winter coat campaign, look out for Santa on a Dray horse and carriage as he tours the capital collecting pre-loved coats to donate to those in need.

Swapping Rudolph for two stunning shire horses, the big man in red will board his shire steeds on the iconic Young’s dray to head through the capital from Victoria to Covent Garden. Keep your eyes peeled as Santa Claus makes his way past landmarks including Buckingham Palace and along The Mall, with people encouraged to drop off donations along the way. In the afternoon, Santa’s dray will then be stationed at The Marquess of Anglesey, where the Camden Town Brewery band will be playing to add some festive spirit, with Young’s asking all to grab those unwanted coats and pop down to the pub to keep someone warm this winter.

Now in its 14^th year, Wrap Up London is one of the largest winter volunteering events in the city. Spearheaded by registered charity, Hands On London, the campaign sees over 20,000 coats collected and distributed annually to those in need within the community.
