Our recent PA Life Club at Gravity Max FAM Trip was a fun and activity-filled evening with a motivational talk to kick things off, followed by putting the great team activities to test.
Our event started at Newton’s Sports Bar, a sophisticated cocktail and sports bar at Gravity Max Wandsworth, tucked away on the third floor, away from the buzzing games areas. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly upon arrival and delicious finger food followed as we gathered around to hear from the evening’s guest speaker, Nigel Risner. Nigel is a leadership coach and motivational speaker, also known as the Zookeeper, as he uses the metaphor of a zoo to help individuals and organisations identify the different personality types in their teams. This helps enormously in understanding how to communicate more effectively, work together more efficiently, and achieve common goals more successfully.
The catering team will be able to prepare a menu for your teambuilding day according to your wishes and requirements, including any dietaries you will need to consider.

PA Life Club at Gravity Max gives a thumbs up for the great team activities
There are lots of fun activities to choose from on three levels of this vast space. We stayed on the 3rd floor large games area, giving a game of darts a go for starters. That was a perfect warm up game for our team of five players, preparing us to move from the familiar to try something totally new for all of us, the Immersive Gamebox. A hugely fun game where our headsets communicated with the three touch screen walls. We were give tasks to perform and controlled the movements with our headset by moving around the room. A lot more difficult than it sounds.
Next it was time for the much awaited drive experience on the 181 metre long, multilevel e-karting track. We loved racing against each other, maneuvering tight curves and fun hills. It was the first time on a karting track for some of us but that didn’t stop anyone from having a great time and completing the 8 minute ‘race’. It’s worth pointing out that if you and your team want to drive, which you definitely shouldn’t miss, go easy on alcoholic drinks ahead of your drive. Normal drinking and driving rules apply meaning max one or two drinks allowed.

There are many more fun games to enjoy at Gravity Max so make sure you’ll reserve enough time for the activities. Their events team will be able to advise you on the best corporate events and teambuilding packages.
The 14 Lane Immersive Bowling, AR Digital Darts and New York Style Urban Street Golf are also on the third floor with a great bar so you are never far from refreshments. A full Gravity Bar takeover can be arranged so whilst your teams a playing they can sip gorgeous cocktails and try the popular sharing menus, and even listen to live music!
On the next floor down we found the Games Arcade with all the traditional fun you’d expect, from claw picks and consoles. We sadly had no time to test our skills here this time, but it certainly looked like great fun to included in your activities.
Our last game was the Hologate VR – a very realistic war against the attacking zombies. That certainly got the adrenalin pumping.
Gravity Max has something for everyone, and is especially appealing for multi-generational teams.
