PA Life Club returned to Wotton House, to experience our second FAM Trip at this stunning country house hotel in Dorking, Surrey.ย ย
A group of 11 of our Club members arrived just after noon on March 7th to spend the day and one night, taking in the best of the hospitality and gorgeous surroundings of Wotton House.
Our hosts, Sharon Power, Director of Sales, and Luke Britton, Sales Manager, greeted us upon arrival. Their warm hospitality was exemplary, and the same can be said of the rest of the staff who made our stay truly enjoyable.
Our day started in the morning room, where we met Sharon and Luke before proceeding to a three course lunch in the 1877 Restaurant. Following the delicious lunch, it was time for a full site visit to explore all 20 meetings rooms, the vast grounds – there are 13 acres to enjoy, and the leisure club.
Great activities included gin tasting, 5-course dinner with drinks pairing and diamond heist
After the site visit was completed the guests had a hour of free time to enjoy the hotel and leisure club before we met again in the morning room for a gin tasting and cocktail from Silent Pool Gin. That was a really wonderful activity run by the gin distillers based in nearby Albury.
Once the gin tasting had ended the guests again had an hour break to go back to their bedroom rooms to relax and prepare for the evening reception. The evening of drinks, canapes and a 5-course tasting menu with drinks pairing was created bespoke for the event by the Executive Chef of Wotton House.
During dinner we had John from Advantage Events host a Diamond heist team building activities which consisted of breaking into three teams and race to crack the code and find the diamond. Once we had finished dinner and the team build activities some guests retired to their bedrooms and others carried on to the bar to enjoy a few more drinks.
What were the bedrooms at Wotton House like?
We retreated to our very stylish, yet homely rooms with our Wotton House goody bags we’ve been given. The bags contained a candle, chocolates, Silent Pool Gin and a keepsake gin glass, notebook, and beautiful wildflower seeds to sow at home for a lovely spring surprise.
There was also time to relax and rejuvenate in the hotel spa and leisure facilities, and it certainly made us want to stay for a long weekend. It really was a the country escape that kept on giving.
