PA Life is excited to be working with the stunning One Aldwych Hotel and to share the details after our first invitation to this beautiful property in Covent Garden. 35 PA Life Club members from our event organiser community joined the hotel’s event team in May for an evening of great hospitality and a tour of the guest rooms and event spaces.ย
The entrance to the hotel sets the scene to what’s to follow once you step inside. Being Chelsea Flower Week, it was decorated with magnificent botanicals attracting a lot of attention from passers-by. We began the evening in The Library, located in the elegant corner on the ground floor, were bottles of chilled Chapel Down sparkling wine and delicious canapes awaited us. The Library was a wonderful space for us to relax whilst networking with the event team and the guest EAs and PAs. It really makes an ideal setting for drinks receptions, with room to mingle, and is also a perfect spot for a cocktail before your night out too.
The evening was hosted by Alexandra Bew, Sales Director, and members of the events team at One Aldwych. Alex has a great pedigree of luxury hotels under her belt. Her first Sales Director role was at Cliveden House Hotel, followed by The Wellesley in Knightsbridge, and then The Langley. That was before she found her ‘home from home’ at One Aldwych five years ago.
B-Corp certified One Aldwych
One Aldwych is one of the very few hotels in London, (or indeed the world) that can say it is truly independent. As well as proudly being a B-Corp certified hotel which is incredibly rare. They will be joining us for London Venues Summit Sustainable Business and Wellness Zone to share the sustainable options at One Aldwych.
Alex really promotes the incredibly unique culture of the hotel, stating how this is their home, and everything they create and curate is for the delight of guests in this singular, beautiful building, at the centre of Covent Garden, Londonโs most exciting neighbourhood.
The tour of the hotel
It was a fantastic opportunity for us to get see and experience wonderful hospitality at this gorgeous hotel – take a look at the highlights on PA Life’s Instagram here.
First stop on the tour was the Downstairs at One Aldwych bar and restaurant serving Charlie and The Chocolate Factory inspired afternoon tea bringing Roald Dahlโs iconic story to life. โWe also saw the private dining and meeting spaces, which were very stylish and classy as you’d expect. The hotel oozes understated luxury, with comfort for guests the main priority.
One Aldwych can host 60 guests for a private dinner, or 120 for a drinks reception.
We also got to take a peek at the The Terrace Suite, decorated with cream colours and marble in a contemporary style. The soft pastels made the rooms inviting, and were warmly lit with beautiful lamps spread across the bedrooms. Having wooden flooring in the living areas adds to the warm atmosphere of the suite. See some images of The Terrace Suite below.
