Jo Malone CBE on building a successful brand airs on BBC Maestro

Jo-Malone-CBE-on-building-a-successful-brand

Business leader and entrepreneur Jo Malone CBE is the latest name set to join BBC Maestro’s online platform of world-class experts. Her course will shine a spotlight on building a successful brand empire from scratch. It will cover marketing your product, adapting to market conditions, harnessing an entrepreneurial mindset, and leading a thriving team. We can all learn from her in building our own personal brands to help us achieve our dreams and goals…

Jo grew her fragrance and cosmetics company, Jo Malone London, from nothing to an internationally renowned brand worth millions in just nine years. Her second company, Jo Loves, launched in 2011 to continue her legacy of innovation in the cosmetics field. Her entrepreneurship earned her a CBE in 2018, but unlike many at the top of the luxury market, her story begins in a South London council house. She left school at 15 to support her family and trained herself to be determined, astute and creative. That was the foundation for  the mindset of an entrepreneur. Having fought poverty, mental health issues, and even cancer, Jo beat the odds to create two hugely successful companies. Now, she wants to share her knowledge and story with you on her BBC Maestro online course.

“The ingredients I believe every entrepreneur needs to succeed are passion, resilience and creativity” – Jo Malone CBE.

About Jo Malone CBE

Jo Malone CBE is the founder behind Jo Malone London, a fragrance and cosmetics company she built from her kitchen sink and, in just nine years, grew to a brand of international renown, which she sold for millions. She is also the founder and creative director of Jo Loves, her second company, which was created in 2011. It is an entirely new empire built from scratch to continue her legacy of innovation in the cosmetics field. Her entrepreneurship earned her a CBE in 2018, but unlike most of her peers at the top, Jo never had a silver spoon to feed her. Instead, her story begins in South London in a council house, struggling with severe dyslexia and leaving school at fifteen to support her family. From a very young age, she trained herself to be determined, astute and creative, building the mindset of an entrepreneur. Having fought poverty, mental health issues, and even cancer, Jo beat the odds to create two hugely successful companies.
