Great news for lovers of rosé in London! With sweeping city views, 37 floors high in London’s highest public garden, the summer season has truly arrived with the opening of Sky Garden X Whispering Angel Terrace…
Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé 2024 is the rosé of choice at Fenchurch – Sky Garden’s restaurant that blends British ingredients with Caribbean influences. The restaurant has been transformed into a lush, floral sanctuary in Provence-inspired style. A summer oasis come rain or shine, the terrace showcases a sharing menu by Fenchurch’s Chef de Cuisine Kerth Gumbs, designed to pair perfectly with a chilled bottle of Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé 2024.
What’s on the menu at Sky Garden X Whispering Angel Terrace?
Begin with artfully curated plates, from whipped artichoke hummus with marinated endive and seeded lavash, to creamy burrata lifted with chilli and parsley salsa, and beef tartare, elevated with puffed puri, aged coppa and Oscietra caviar.
Seafood dishes follow, bringing a fresh contrast, with citrus-cured sea bream complemented by green olive and toasted hazelnut, alongside smoked salmon with candied lemon and horseradish, and Jersey oysters dressed with lime and togarashi. From the meat-led mains, opt for fried chicken with hoisin mayonnaise and curry leaves, charred bavette of beef served with sticky rice, pickled cucumber and a chilli and ginger dressing, or a veggie alternative of charred king oyster mushroom with marinated tofu. To finish, chocolate and raspberry cornets offer a playful, elegant finale.
