‘Like a Boss’ TV show focuses on celebrity PAs

Most reality programmes focus on celebrities and their antics, but what about the people behind them? The new documentary series Like a Boss follows celebrity assistants to find out what it’s like to support the stars.

Debuting on Oprah Winfrey’s US TV channel Oxygen this week, the show shifts the focus from celebrities and high-profile business people to their PAs. We reported last year that the series was inspired by media mogul Nick Cannon’s PA Amber Grimes – Cannon is also executive-producing the show. In the trailer for the show, she hilariously equates being an assistant to being the mother of a grown man.

The cast of characters also includes:

  • Rian Parrish, PA to radio host Big Tigger
  • Devin Simpson, PA to realty mogul Blair Meeks
  • and Drekia Glenn, PA to record executive Abou “Bu” Thiam.

The show reveals the challenges assistants face and the impact of their job on their personal lives. It also gets feedback on their performance from their bosses and shows the interaction between celeb and PA to find out what it’s really like to work with somebody so closely.

A UK release date has not yet been set. To watch the trailer and see the original article, visit on-ajc.com/1RI8CWs.
