When I opened Lindsay’s book I thought, “Ooh this looks interesting…”

It’s totally different to other career development books and I really like the style. It’s one I can read again and again without starting over. It’s also a great visual title too (images supplied by Nick Fewings).

The first chapter is about assertiveness – and what better way is there to develop yourself than to ensure you have a good level of confidence?

K = KISS (Keep It Short and Simple) – now for someone like me who tends to go round the houses when telling a scenario, this made me see it from the other person’s point of view! (I will try harder to KISS)

L = Listening – Learn to be a master, using words, tone and body language (in the right context and combination).

Lindsay’s passion for learning and development jumps out in every chapter. It has anecdotes relating to her home life and her work practices. It’s straightforward, no-nonsense A-Z of tips for any professional.
