Business Travel Association announces new partnership

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced JetBlue Airways as its latest industry partner. The collaboration will raise awareness of the importance of business travel across the globe, whilst increasing air travel flexibility for business travellers.

The two organisations will work in unison throughout 2021 to enhance JetBlueโ€™s UK presence amongst the business travel sector and TMC community, as well as supporting global awareness for business travel in light of Covid-19. Additionally, the partnership will provide and deliver the best possible service to their shared corporate customers. JetBlue is the latest global airline to partner with the BTA, the UKโ€™s representative body for the Businessย Travel sector.

JetBlue is the sixth largest airline in the United States, serving more than 100 destinations throughout the Americas. The carrier โ€“ which first took to the skies in 2000 โ€“ employs 20,000 crewmembers, flies more than 270 aircraft and operates six focus cities in New York,ย Boston, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Los Angeles, Orlando, and San Juan. JetBlue is set to launch service between its two northeast focus cities, New York and Boston, and London aboard its new Airbus A321LR aircraft later this year marking the airlineโ€™s first-ever transatlantic service.

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA said: “We are excited about the global opportunities our new alliance with JetBlue will bring to the business travel community. Our collaboration will provide a global platform to support TMCs, business travellers and our industry as a whole following such a tough year. We are delighted to kick-start our relationship, as we look forward to business travellers returning to the skies once more.โ€

Maja Gedosev, General Manager, Europe added: โ€œJetBlue is delighted to be joining forces with the BTA, and to bring a fresh choice for the business travel community. We believe our customers shouldnโ€™t have to compromise between a great experience and a low fare. From our reimagined Mint premium seating, to our industry-leading Core product featuring the most legroom in economy, build-your-own meals designed by Dig and more, JetBlueโ€™s take on transatlantic travel will bring a whole new level of service and comfort to business travellers crossing the pond.โ€
