Business Travel Association appoints new Board Director

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced the appointment of Varinder Atwal, Senior Director of Supplier Management at CWT, as its new Board Director.

Working alongside the BTAโ€™s Executive team, Atwal will ensure the ongoing success of the Associationโ€™s business objectives and overall commercial plan following COVID-19.

Atwal is the Senior Director of Global Supplier Management at CWT, one of the worldโ€™s largest corporate travel management companies, working to keep government and organisationโ€™s employees connected through safe, efficient and secure travel. She is an integral part of CWTโ€™s UK leadership team, ensuring unparalleled relationships with air, rail and car suppliers.

With over 23 yearsโ€™ experience in the travel industry, Atwal brings substantial expertise in directing global teams, bolstering stakeholder engagement and aligning strategic objectives with customer needs. Prior to her role at CWT, she held a range of sales, marketing and leadership roles within KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Air France for over 15 years.
