The infamous Hollywood rumour mill has been in overdrive in the last week over suggestions Tom Cruise, married three times previously, was about to propose to his personal assistant, Emily Thomas.

As usual, it seems the gossip merchants were quite a way off the mark after the 53-year-old A-lister categorically quelled the marriage rumours. However, what is clear is that the Mission: Impossible star appears smitten with the 22-year-old British beau.

The pair met after Cruise hired Thomas to be his PA during the filming of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, sending the eagle-eyed commentators amongst the tabloid press into a frenzy who instantly noted her striking resemblance to Cruise?s ex-wife Katie Holmes.
