Collinson Group has announced the launch of Intana Global, the first truly integrated medical and security assistance provider serving the London market. Based in the City of London, Intana Globalโs assistance centre provides seamless combined response and works pro-actively with its clients to deliver flexible, rapid and effective solutions around the globe. Intana Global is the new brand for the corporate and specialty assistance business of Collinson Group and replaces the Specialty Assist name following its acquisition by Collinson in 2015.
With more than 40 yearsโ experience in delivering assistance to corporate markets and travelling populations, Intana Globalโs unique ability to provide a medically led solution along with security advice and emergency response is underpinned by Collinson Groupโs partnership with the leading security and crisis management specialist Security Exchange.
Leveraging Collinson Groupโs scale and financial strength, Intana Global will focus on extending service and product reach in the London insurance market while nurturing existing client relationships in support of a long-term partnership approach. It will also invest in expanding and refining its international medical and logistical network of more than 40,000 quality assessed partners to enable efficient delivery of global services at a local level. In addition, Collinson Group will prioritise investment in research and development to help Intana Global develop and incorporate innovative product offerings such as digital mobile health in its service spectrum.
As part of Collinson Group, Intana Global can tap into the Groupโs travel expertise spanning across loyalty, lifestyle benefits, insurance and assistance to build differentiated and bespoke assistance propositions. The addition of complementary products and services ranging from customer loyalty programmes and concierge services to access to a network of 900 global airport lounges through its ownership of Priority Pass will serve to enrich the traveller experience.
The launch of Intana Global comes at a time when corporate travel spend is expected to grow further. Assistance-based services will be increasingly important โ both for corporations from a duty of care perspective and for employees as their end users. The need for 24/7, all-round assistance services is amplified by the rising threat of global terrorism and increasing business travel to emerging markets. Collinson Groupโs own analysis reveals a 52% increase in the number of visits by UK business travellers to high-risk destinations overseas in the first half of 2015 compared to the same period a year earlier. At the same time, 58% of HR professionals believe the process of sending employees abroad has got more difficult from a duty of care perspective over the past year. And yet, only 59% of HR professionals said their businesses have a corporate travel policy that includes a risk management strategy.
Mark Rands, Head of Intana Global commented: โThe creation of Intana Global signifies an exciting start for our integrated approach to medical and security assistance services and reflects our global capabilities. Because of our ownership by Collinson Group, we are able to operate on a business model that allows us to connect the dots throughout the entire travel journey. Adding to our ease of accessibility, expanding global network of medical and security experts, and expertise in the travel sector, we will continue to invest in technology and drive innovations to ensure we provide maximum care at all times to those who are entrusted in our hands.โ
