A Cascade Christmas: where celebrations come alive

Cascade productions are an award-winning team of producers, storytellers, filmmakers, strategists, marketeers, designers, creatives, and event and operations experts. For over 25 years, they have connected audiences through brands,ย culture,ย comms,ย events and film. PA Life chatted to Liam Jones, their Client Services Manager, who gave us an insight to how they can help you for your upcoming events, where celebrations come alive.ย

How does Cascade support PAs

At Cascade Productions, their role is to make PAs shine. They understand that every event, announcement, or campaign is more than just a task and itโ€™s a reflection of the people behind it. Thatโ€™s why their aim to bring together knowledge, creativity, and expertise to ensure the message lands with impact and style.

From conferences to Christmas parties to summer socials that bring people together, or company-wide communications that unite global organisations, we help transform these ideas.

What is trending this year

This year, Liam says itโ€™s all about breaking away from the traditional three-course turkey-dinner. This is no longer the default choice, and organisations are seeking fresh formats that feel more personal and memorable.

They state that they’re seeing a rise in full-day experiences, where teams enjoy activities together before transitioning into evening celebrations. Think relaxed restaurant dinners followed by after parties that keep the energy well into the night.

At the same time, Cascade are seeing the big company wide Christmas parties are making a comeback, back and better than ever. While some businesses still favour more intimate gatherings for budget-conscious reasons, thereโ€™s a definite shift towards expanding celebrations, creating moments that truly bring people together.

Cascade makes your event experiences come alive this Christmas

Cascade create experiences from the ground up. From expansive marquees and bespoke themes to large scale activations. They are designed to host seasonal moments, such as Christmas parties where thoughtful touchpoints like curated drinks receptions and branded details come together to elevate the atmosphere. The focus is always on delivering impact with intention, ensuring experiences feel personal and crafted without unnecessary excess.

A recent example is from a retail brand that approached them to create an event for 200 people on a modest budget. For them, constraints donโ€™t limit creativity, they inspire it. From the outset, they kept the client closely informed, exploring what hadnโ€™t worked in the past and what their preferences were. While some groups respond well to casual dining like pizzas, this audience required something more relaxed yet exclusive. The solution lay in the design of space, carefully balancing intimacy with flowโ€”while sourcing locally and breaking down costs transparently. Subtle but effective touches throughout ensured the event felt considered, distinctive, and memorable.

Why Cascade enjoy working with PAs

Liam Jones highlights that PA’s need to know what they are working with, they are about maximising return for the budget, this gives them a steer of what they are looking for. Cascade finds that seeing themselves as an extension of their team, this allows them to build up relationships. The better they get to know the client, the better the out put.

Top tips for PAs to help their event experiences come alive

Itโ€™s essential for PA’s to recognise the limits of their skill set, particularly when it comes to event management. This field has its own unique demands, and specialist event companies often bring significant advantages. They typically hold stronger buying power, established industry connections, and ongoing relationships with artists and performers, giving them the expertise to negotiate the best deals while managing both risks and rewards with confidence.

Liam highlights the value of leveraging your network and sharing responsibilities effectively. At Cascade, they understand the broad scope of a PAโ€™s role and the many responsibilities it entails. They focus is on supporting PA’s by enhancing their ability to deliver exceptional outcomes, not replacing their role. Cascade provides the additional expertise and resources on the ground so PA’s donโ€™t have to manage every detail on the day of the event, allowing them to step back, enjoy the occasion, and feel confident that everything is handled seamlessly.

How early in notice should they advice?

As much notice as possible. Meanwhile they appreciate the communications that may pop up, if you know this is happening, they can find the best possible venue with more time. As well as securing better rates too.

Cascade works together as a team with EAs and PAs, they want to include them in everything they are doing, we are not here to take their job. They want you to be part of it, and just to help make it better and work together.
