Last week, our Events Manager Courtney Saggers took a trip to Hertfordshire, to check out one of the top event spaces in the area. Where corporate meets countryside at Tewinbury Farm.ย Nestled in the picturesque village of Tewin, just a short 22-minute journey from the M25.
Whether you’re planning an event, a weekend escape, or just craving some goatโs cheese with gravitas, Tewinbury Farm should certainly be on your radar. The team from PA Life arrived in awe of the serene surroundings, fields stretching as far as the eye could see, dotted with grazing animals and immersed in nature’s calm.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the Riverside Farm & Hotel and shown to our beautiful suite, Farmerโs. Located on the ground floor, it offered stunning views over the Hertfordshire countryside. The room, situated in one of the charming old farm buildings, was full of rustic quirks and cozy touches, complete with its own private patio for a peaceful outdoor retreat.
The Cowshed
Our dining experience took place at The Cowshed, where the menu reflects the seasons and draws inspiration from Tewinbury Farmโs kitchen garden, on-site farm, and local suppliers. We indulged in their seasonal set menuโa true celebration of fresh, luxurious ingredients. Highlights included an Ashed Goatโs Cheese Salad with clementine and caramelised walnuts, and a comforting Squash Soup with maple and sage. Mains featured a succulent Middle White Pork Chop with celeriac remoulade, mustard sauce, and quince cider glaze, as well as a delicate Chalk Stream Trout accompanied by vermouth sauce, Cowshed bacon crumb, and artichoke. To finish, we enjoyed a rich and silky Chocolate Pot topped with toasted hazelnuts.
The evening concluded at The Stable, a cozy, art-filled space with exposed brick walls, deep sofas, and a laid-back ambiance. The live saxophonist created the perfect atmosphere to unwind and reflect on a truly memorable visit.
A Countryside Escape
After breakfast, we followed a route for a walk through Tewinburyโs expansive grounds. The walk brought us full circle, finishing back at Tewinbury Stable Farm, refreshed.
