Where to dine this Easter weekend

Whether you’re planning a traditional Easter Sunday roast, an indulgent afternoon tea or a relaxed long weekend brunch, the capital offers plenty of reasons to celebrate. PA Life shares with you some of the most tempting places to book for the upcoming long weekend.

Marriott Park Lane

Check out the Marriott Park Lane for their ‘Guess How Much I Love You Afternoon Tea’. Step into a storybook this spring with a charming new family afternoon tea at Lanes of London on Park Lane, inspired by the much-loved children’s classic Guess How Much I Love You. Bringing the gentle magic of Little and Big Nutbrown Hare to life, highlights on the exquisitely crafted menu include a miniature wildflower meadow made with rhubarb confit, wild honey panna cotta and cocoa soil; a chocolate orange tree stump and a light and fluffy lychee rose cloud.

Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate

Right outside of London is the beautiful Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate, who are hosting an Easter Afternoon Tea. Set within Down Hall’s stunning Grand Hall, indulge in a springtime afternoon tea with an Easter twist, featuring a classic selection of finger sandwiches and warm scones alongside chocolate and bunny-shaped treats that are almost too cute to eat. Plus, on Easter Sunday, little ones can embark on an exciting chocolate egg hunt around the hotel’s expansive grounds.

Kitchen at Holmes

Located in Baker Street is Holmes Hotel, Kitchen at Holmes will be hosting their very own weekend brunch and roast. Easter is all about the egg and at Kitchen at Holmes in Marylebone their Saturday brunch is packed with them – from lobster benedict and shakshuka to a four-egg frittata and eggs Florentine. Come Sunday, gather for the restaurant’s new Sunday Roast, with a choice of chicken, 56-day-aged beef rump or roasted Romanesco cauliflower, all accompanied with live music playing throughout the weekend.

RAILS

RAILS is French-Inspired restaurant in Kings Cross. This Easter Bank Holiday, enjoy elegant classics like French toast with strawberries and cinnamon crème fraiche or eggs forestière in rich truffle hollandaise whilst for traditionalists, there’s a whole roasted Cotswold chicken, served with roast potatoes, RAILS salad, and chicken jus, is perfect for sharing.

Browns Brasserie

Browns Brasserie have launched a new spring menu, perfect for Easter weekend feasting with dishes including miso-glazed salmon, risotto verde and lobster surf and turf. Sunday roasts include beef, garlic, lemon & thyme chicken, or slow-cooked lamb served with all the trimmings. Add classic sides like cauliflower cheese and finish with a delicious dessert for the perfect family Easter celebration.

Browns Brasserie Roast

Aragon House

This Easter, visit newly refurbished Aragon House, in Parsons Green, for a Sunday roast designed for sharing. Centrepiece dishes include braised 28-day short rib, slow-roasted lamb shoulder and whole free-range spatchcock chicken, accompanied by crispy roasties, seasonal sides, Yorkshire puddings and plenty of gravy.

The Crown & Greyhound

The Crow & Greyhound is a newly refurbished Dulwich pub reopening on 16th March following a full refurbishment, celebrate the long weekend at the Crown & Greyhound in Dulwich. Serving a traditional roast served with all the best sides – Yorkshire puddings, thyme-roasted potatoes, savoy cabbage, leeks and roasted root vegetables – choose from rump of beef with red wine gravy, roast chicken with bacon & chestnut stuffing, lamb rump, or opt for the sharing roast with a choice beef, chicken and lamb.
