CrossCountry rail offers corporate discounts

Rail operator CrossCountry has made available discounted tickets for its corporate customers. The announcement is timely, as the latest American Express Global Business Travel Barometer has revealed that an increasing number of companies are considering using train travel as opposed to air.

The “Advance on the Day” initiative has been introduced by the rail company to provide business customers with the option to buy tickets for long-distance routes at discounted advance prices within an hour of departure when they book online. For example, a single fare from Birmingham to Manchester costs £12.30 under the scheme, compared to £34.40 at the normal anytime rate.

Advance on the Day fares can be purchased up to 30 minutes before travel at thetrainline.com through its corporate system. For more information, contact your Trainline business manager or email corporate.sales@thetrainline.com. For further details of CrossCountry’s services, visit crosscountrytrains.co.uk.
