De Vere Latimer Estate, located in Buckinghamshire and part of The Principal Hotel Company, has undergone a renovation of its main function spaces and improved technology as part of the continued roll out of a multimillion pound investment programme in the De Vere country estate hotels portfolio.
Home to more than 30 meeting rooms across three buildings, De Vere Latimer Estate’s comprehensive renovation has been designed to maximise the available space for conferences and events both inside and out, ensuring the venue continues to cater for clients’ evolving needs.
The transformation of De Vere Latimer Estate includes a full renovation of its largest event space, The Cormorant Suite, and the addition of superfast outdoor wifi, available free to guests as far as 100 metres from the main building and installed to enhance the venue’s appeal for team-building events within its 30-acre grounds.
The Cormorant Suite, accommodating up to 250 delegates, now offers additional flexibility for events, as it can be split into three 65 square-metre rooms when demand dictates. A new entrance and stairway into the suite, a new Tutors’ Office and syndicate room and a complete redecoration and refurnishing in a fresh neutral palette complete the overhaul. More than half of the venue’s 197 bedrooms have already been refurbished to reflect modern British heritage using accents of leather, tweed and linen.
Following the successful launch of Burr & Co at The Principal Edinburgh in 2015, the artisan coffee shop has now launched at De Vere Latimer Estate, the first De Vere hotel to feature the Burr & Co. offering, which will become a standard at all of the group’s properties. Delegates can enjoy high-quality ethically sourced coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks, cakes and pastries to take away or eat in.
The upgrade is part of an ambitious phased overhaul that also involves a full refurbishment of the Mansion House, which is due to complete in April. The works will include the addition of a new Hospitality Suite, a refurbished restaurant and courtyard with theatre-style kitchen, 12 additional premium bedrooms and a stylish new reception.
Antonio Campanile, General Manager at De Vere Latimer Estate, commented: “Due to its location and facilities, De Vere Latimer Estate continues to be a very popular venue for the meetings, conferences and private events market and this exciting renovation project, which places the Mansion House back at the heart of the property, will ensure the venue continues to attract a varied range of clients, from team building and conferences to meetings and private dinners, with facilities of the very highest quality.”
Nestled in 30 acres of the stunning Chiltern Hills, De Vere Latimer Estate combines contemporary design with Victorian architecture and is one of the most beautiful and extensive event venues in Buckinghamshire. Overlooking the Chess Valley, the venue sits in a picturesque parkland setting and offers a range of stylish accommodation along with superb leisure facilities including a gym, swimming pool and football pitch and offers modern dining, a bar and free wifi throughout.
Just five miles from Junction 18 of the M25, close to Heathrow and Luton Airports and just a short journey direct into central London on the Metropolitan line, De Vere Latimer Estate is perfectly positioned for corporate and private events.
