Hire Space Awards shortlist announced

The first Hire Space Awards have been announced

Venue-booking platform Hire Space has announced the shortlist for its first-ever awards.

From an astounding 250 entries across the industry, the Hire Space team has chosen a shortlist of venues for 16 categories, including D&D London, Searcys at The Gherkin, The Ned, The Postal Museum and many more. You can view the full shortlist HERE.

The Hire Space Awards celebrate innovation and quality of service in the events industry, with categories including โ€˜Modern Marketingโ€™, โ€˜Modern Salesโ€™, โ€˜Popular Venuesโ€™ and โ€˜Forward Thinking Venuesโ€™. The evening event will also feature an โ€˜Unsung Heroโ€™ award for the person whoโ€™s had a big hidden impact on the industry this year, as well as two separate awards for professional event-planning teams.

Hire Space Event Producer Felicity Cator said: โ€œWeโ€™ve been overwhelmed by the response to our very first awards and the effort all our nominees have put in during the shortlisting process. Some of the categories were fiercely contested and the standard of the entries was fantastic. We canโ€™t wait for the ceremony in October.โ€

The winners, announced live at a ceremony on 24 October, will be chosen by an independent panel of judges, including Karen Hanton MBE, Founder of toptable.co.uk; Wendy Bartlett MBE, Executive Chairman of Bartlett Mitchell; and Sean Valentine, MD of Valentine Hospitality Limited.

The ceremony will draw 200 events industry professionals to Landing Forty Two, Londonโ€™s highest dedicated events space. The event will feature a three-course luxury meal courtesy of Moving Venue, as well as live music, and will be hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis, star of BBC shows Mock the Week and Outnumbered, and host of Radio 4โ€™s The Now Show.

The Hire Space Awards are taking place on the last night of EventLAB 2017, Hire Spaceโ€™s two-day event for professional event organisers focused on discovery and learning in the modern events industry.
