Lucy Brazier awarded OBE

Founder of Executive Support Magazine and internationally-renowned speaker Lucy Brazier has been awarded an OBE in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to office professionals.

Lucy Brazier is one of the world’s leading authorities on the administrative profession. As CEO of Marcham Publishing, specialist publisher of Executive Support Magazine, Lucy’s passion is for the Assistant role to be truly recognised as a career and not just a job. Her formidable training expertise and speaking style have given her opportunities to train, present and Chair in over 45 countries at hundreds of events. Lucy has also acted as a consultant on career progression, the future of the role and how Executives and Assistants can best partner with each other, with some of the biggest companies in the world.

In a LinkedIn post about the OBE she said: “I am overwhelmed that what started out 10 years ago as a small publishing business, begun after a nervous breakdown and run from my kitchen table, has become a global movement for a sector which is made up of 98% women, and makes up a fifth of the world’s working population. It’s an amazing honour to receive recognition for my contribution and I hope that it will help to raise awareness of the under-utilisation of the largest sector in the world for working women.”
